Campaign 1 - Faith Under Fire!

The Victorian Government recently trumped the work of the Scrutiny Of Acts & Regualtions Committee by announcing it would only make limited changes to the religious exceptions in the EO Act.

These changes along with others announced by the AG would seem to strike the right balance.

Campaign 2 - Charter Rights No Wrongs

The National Human Rights Consultation has proposed the enactment of a Human Rights Act (charter of rights). Far from securing basic rights, such a law would arm activists to erode the rights we take for granted. Act now to preserve these freedoms by firing off a “pollie mail” to your local member, urging them to reject a Human Rights Act without a referendum.

Children deserve a mum AND a dad wherever possible, but apparently not in Queensland, where Anna Bligh says any one or more persons can be parents. Her Government plans to let two men, two women or a single person order a baby through altruistic surrogacy.

In a welcome step forward in protecting children online, the Government has announced that it will go ahead with plans to block Refused Classification material from the internet. This is despite fierce opposition from the porn lobby and net libertarians.
