The Victorian Government recently trumped the work of the Scrutiny Of Acts & Regualtions Committee by announcing it would only make limited changes to the religious exceptions in the EO Act.

These changes along with others announced by the AG would seem to strike the right balance.

The National Human Rights Consultation has proposed the enactment of a Human Rights Act (charter of rights).
