The Australia Labor Party has voted to change its party policy to support same-sex marriage. It will however allow its members a conscience vote. Expect the issue to be debated in the parliament next year.

Campaign 2 - Kids' rights count

Children deserve a mum and a dad wherever possible, but apparently not in Tasmania, where the Government plans to let two men, two women or a single person order a baby through altruistic surrogacy. It is also now planning to allow same-sex couples to adopt 'unknown' children.

Campaign 3 - Women are Worth More

A recent discussion paper released by the Tasmanian Attorney-General appears to favour decriminalisation of prostitution in the state. This would lead to increased demand and therefore exploitation and abuse of women through prostitution. Say 'no' to this exploitation by writing to MPs.

Campaign 4 - Care not Killing

A private member’s bill to legalise euthanasia is expected to be introduced into the Tasmanian Parliament this year, with a discussion paper due to be released soon. In anticipation of these developments, we must continue to send the message that euthanasia is a dangerous path that puts vulnerable lives at risk.

Campaign 5 - Women are worth more

The WA Attorney General plans to ban prostitution from residential areas but allow brothels in other locations. This approach has failed elsewhere and women will continue to be ‘legally exploited’ through the sex trade.
